Of course, there are things that happen in life that can have a major effect on how one lives. Such as sickness, disease, a loss of some kind, and or financial problems. Keep in mind, no matter what life brings your way, in a moment, things can change.

Though the Lord gave you adversity for food and suffering for drink, He will still be with you to teach you. You will see your teacher with your own eyes. Your own ears will hear Him. Right behind you a voice will say, ‘This is the way you should go,’ whether to the right or to the left.”

Devotional 

It is ultimately impossible to go through life without battle scars from life’s many lessons. And although, some difficulties are great and some small; God’s mercy, grace, and love are interwoven in those ups and downs.
