The person of Jesus Christ of Nazareth

The Person and Work of CHRIST — well that has been the topic of many debates. Such as, who He is and His purpose for coming into the world. First, let’s look at an example from the Holy Bible of who people said Jesus was when He was here in His physical body.

In Matthew 16:13-17 English Standard Version it says,

“13 Now when Jesus came into the district of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do people say that the Son of Man is?” 14 And they said, “Some say John the Baptist, others say Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”

15 He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” 16 Simon Peter replied, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”

17 And Jesus answered him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven.”

As we can see, people had different answers. And the same is true even today.

Lady V’s Devotional Episode

Ephesians 1:7-10 (TPT) says;

Since we are now joined to Christ, we have been given the treasures of redemption by his blood—the total cancellation of our sins—all because of the cascading riches of his grace.

This superabundant grace is already powerfully working in us, releasing all forms of wisdom and practical understanding.

And through the revelation of the Anointed One, he unveiled his secret desires to us—the hidden mystery of his long-range plan, which he was delighted to implement from the very beginning of time.

And because of God’s unfailing purpose, this detailed plan will reign supreme through every period of time until the fulfillment of all the ages finally reaches its climax—when God makes all things new in all of heaven and earth through Jesus Christ.

Salvation—New Life through Jesus Christ, comes with a grace gift that has ALL YOU NEED. The truth is this immeasurable grace gift begins with Jesus because He is grace personified. Grace and truth came through Him.

Why is Christianity misunderstood?

Well, Christianity is misunderstood because some Christians do not understand Grace. You see, grace and truth come by Jesus Christ. He showed love to everyone He met. Unfortunately, there are Christians who don’t represent Him well. Thus, causing others to not want anything to do with Him.

So then, some people give Christians a bad rap. They stereotype all Christians as angry, judgmental, hypocrites. And that’s not true for so many of us. I say us; because Lady V and I are Christians too. And we have experienced those reactions first-hand.

Trust me, we get it because there are Christians who present themselves as perfect. And that is far from the truth of the matter. Jesus is the only perfect person to ever walk the earth. Believe it or not, we all needed a savior; that’s why Jesus came, died, and rose from the grave.
