Do you recall the days of your youth when you played a game called—hide and seek? It was a fun game, but at some point, your hiding place was no longer a secret. With God, however, your hiding place is always a secret. When you take up residence in the secret place of God, there is a safety that is like none other.
The secret place of God is a place of trusting Him in EVERYTHING that concerns you. In this marvelous place, one can talk to God about anything and everything—good or bad, big or small. And the great thing about Him is that you are loved unconditionally no matter what you disclose! Don’t worry; God can handle the heavy stuff! He already knows anyway because nothing is hidden from God.
In this secret place of God, your faith takes ahold of what grace has made available through Jesus Christ. In the secret place you will find hope in every season, strength for every battle, protection from your enemy, and a love that never gives up on you. That’s grace upon grace!
God is NOT counting how many times you mess up or make the wrong choices. He will lead you. God just wants you to have faith in Him. Also, God sent HIS Son, Jesus, so that you would see HIS love from the Cross. It is a love that transcends time and space and guides you along the way. When you have faith in Jesus, you step into sonship where you are now adopted into the family of the Almighty God.
He is your Abba Father! Glory to God! You can trust HIM with your life. Now, let’s take a moment to get a clearer picture…Imagine a father walking with his child in a crowd of people in a foreign land. His first concern is to keep his child close to him so that no harm will come to him or her. The child is holding on to their father for dear life trusting him for protection. Now—see yourself as that child.
You are that child of God! Your Abba Father wants you to know just how much He loves you, and that you matter to Him. Thus, He wants you close. He is a secret place to hide in that no force of evil can penetrate. Therefore, stay close to your Heavenly Father, and watch His love spill over into your life and keep you safe.
He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.“
