The God of ALL Grace—JESUS IS LORD!

So then, we must cling in faith to all we know to be true. For we have a magnificent King-Priest, Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who rose into the heavenly realm for us, and now sympathizes with us in our frailty. He understands humanity, for as a Man; our magnificent King-Priest was tempted in every way just as we are, and conquered sin.

So now we come freely and boldly to where love is enthroned, to receive mercy’s kiss and discover the grace we urgently need to strengthen us in our time of weakness.

Hebrews 4: 14-16, TPT

Devotional

I’m not perfect. Shockingly enough, that’s no surprise to God. I recall growing up thinking I had to be perfect to believe in Jesus, and yet I had it twisted. My believing in Jesus was my having faith that He did something I could not do for myself. He justified me before God.

There was absolutely nothing I could do to make myself righteous. I needed a Savior! Jesus atoned for my sins and the sins of the world so that those that believe in Him would be made righteous through Him, by justification, through faith in Him, and not by works.

Galatians 2:16, (NLT), states “Yet we know that a person is made right with God by faith in Jesus Christ, not by obeying the law…”

Jesus took on the punishment for my sins, and the sins of the world, because He knew that we were not perfect. If we stood before God without Him, we would be standing alone with only ourselves to account for any wrongdoing before the Righteous Almighty God.

Therefore, that is why the loving and righteous God had to put a plan of redemption in motion to save the world. “For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him” (John 3:16-17, NLT).

His love is so great, that the resurrected Savior stands as an Advocate at the throne of Almighty God to plead our case.  There, we find that mercy and grace have covered our imperfections. We are seen as a forgiven vessel with a clean slate.

Although I must admit, there are times that I need the Holy Spirit’s help to conquer the desire to gratify my fleshly wants. I don’t always get it right, but the more I walk with Jesus, HIS character rubs off on me. Hence, the change is evident, and I’m in awe of the LORD and HIS power that has changed me.

You might ask, “How does this happen?” Well, I realized that my strength MUST come from Him. In fact, it’s not a life journey that I can conquer on my own. Besides, I need a lot of help! Thank God, I have an unseen Helper—The Holy Spirit!

So, don’t get caught up in how many times you get it wrong, just remember that the LORD made us just like HIM—more than a CONQUEROR! {See Romans 8:37} As we continue to walk with Jesus, we will begin to reflect CHRIST-like behavior.

Likewise, Jesus can change your life too—if you let HIM. For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength (Philippians 4:13). He’s here to help us live a life that pleases God. And once you know His love, you’ll want to live to make Him smile.

Moreover, His mercy is available and His grace meets me every day. Unquestionably, He’s the God of ALL grace. God’s unmerited GRACE is available to all who answer the call to –come. Come and join the family of God!

So, if you don’t know Him, here’s how:

If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved.
