Lady V’s Devotional Episode
Psalm 34:17-19 (NLT) says:
The LORD hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles. The LORD is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed. The righteous person faces many troubles, but the LORD comes to the rescue each time.
I’m a mother. And ever since my daughter was a baby, I had my ears tuned to hear her cry. And, although she is an adult now, I’m still concerned about her well-being.
So much so, I’ll come running when she needs me! I want to know when something troubles her! I want to rescue her from any hurts or disappointments. I love her that much!
No doubt, love makes you want to rescue the ones you love!
So, when we read Psalm 34:17-19 (NLT), we are reminded of the Heavenly Father’s love for us. The Heavenly Father tunes in to HIS children too. He’s not a distant God. He is close enough to hear our cries!
Yet, there are times when things are going bad, we forget that He hears us. We forget that we matter to God. But we must not forget that the Lord’s love is infinite towards us. He has concerns about everything that troubles us.
God is close!
The Word of God says in Proverbs 18:24 (AMP), that He’s a true, loving friend who is reliable and sticks closer than a brother. So, not only is He your Heavenly Father, He’s also a reliable friend. He’s closer than you think.
Thus, He’s the ONE you want to share your heart with. He’s the ONE you call when you face trouble. He’s the ONE that comes to your rescue. And, He’s the ONE who deserves our total devotion.
Beloved, don’t go through troubles thinking that you are alone. When you feel like you’re about to be swallowed up with trouble– Remind yourself of Psalm 34. Then call out to the LORD. Ask for help! Then expect the LORD to come to your rescue.
We come to you in the Name of Jesus with thanksgiving in our hearts. Father God, we thank YOU that we can always depend on YOU. You will not neglect us nor will you ignore our cries for help.
We cast every care, every anxiety on YOU, because YOU care for us.
Thank YOU that YOU are our helper and we do not have to fear.
Thank YOU that we don’t have to be anxious about anything. When we pray, YOU hear us and YOUR Peace guards our hearts and our minds in Christ Jesus.
We can come boldly to the throne of grace and receive mercy and grace to help in the time of need.
For this, we thank YOU LORD! We receive it done, and give YOU all the glory, in the Name of Jesus. Amen!
Grace and Peace to you all! And remember that JESUS IS LORD!!!
