The Promise: It’s Already Supplied — S3-DE10

Lady V’s Devotional Episode

Philippians 4:19 (NLT) says:

“And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.”

Philippians 4:19 (NLT)

Devotional

Even at the start of our lives, God has been taking care of us. In the womb, as we began to form, God was there supplying what we needed and we didn’t even know it.

We didn’t have a care in the world, and we didn’t even think about what was needed. Likewise, we didn’t have to know what we needed because God made sure to supply our needs since the beginning of time.

And just like He knew we would need food and water, he also knew we needed a Savior. Thus, God sent HIS Son, Jesus, to meet our need for Salvation even before we were even born.

And, sometimes the need is met through discomfort or pain. For instance, Jesus died on the Cross supplying our need for Salvation. It cost HIS life, but then, when He got UP, HE made new life readily available to all that would believe in Him.

Emmanuel, God with us (Matt. 1:23), knowing that we needed HIM, provided a way to HIM. So, for all that would believe in HIM would find forgiveness of all sin.

EVEN ME — S3-DE9

Lady V’s Devotional Episode

Mark 16:1-8 (NLT) says:

“Saturday evening, when the Sabbath ended, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome went out and purchased burial spices so they could anoint Jesus’ body.

Very early on Sunday morning, just at sunrise, they went to the tomb. On the way they were asking each other, ‘Who will roll away the stone for us from the entrance to the tomb?’

But as they arrived, they looked up and saw that the stone which was very large, had already been rolled aside.

When they entered the tomb, they saw a young man clothed in a white robe sitting on the right side. The women were shocked, but the angel said, ‘Don’t be alarmed. You are looking for Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead!

Look, this is where they laid his body. Now go and tell his disciples, including Peter, that Jesus is going ahead of you to Galilee. You will see him there, just as he told you before he died.’

The women fled from the tomb, trembling and bewildered, and they said nothing to anyone because they were too frightened.

Then they briefly reported all this to Peter and his companions. Afterward Jesus himself sent them out from east to west with the sacred and unfailing message of salvation that gives eternal life. Amen.”

Mark 16:1-8 (NLT)

Devotional

Is any among you suffering from guilt and shame? Do you think God cannot use you because you’ve made some mistakes?

Well, here’s a bit of solace (comfort).

Peter had sinned and denied Jesus three times before the Lord’s crucifixion. He probably couldn’t imagine the Lord ever using him again after this.

And although Peter had already been forgiven, I’m sure he felt ashamed for what he had done like most of us do.

But here’s the beauty in God’s love for us—God’s grace is multiplied in the midst of our mistakes.

STAY ON COURSE — S3-DE8

Lady V’s Devotional Episode

2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NLT) says:

“All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.”

2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NLT)

Devotional

For the Christian, we struggle at times in our walk with Christ trying to do right. Let’s be honest—it’s hard! We’re not perfect—But, Jesus IS! He knows our struggles to make the right decisions daily.

Sometimes it feels like driving at a high speed on a race track and all of a sudden we are spinning out of control. It’s scary and we feel like screaming, “God Help! God, how will I get back on course?

The good news is that God is full of goodness, kindness, and mercy. He’s faithful to help us correct our course if we just look to His Word. HIS help is readily available to us who trust in HIS Word.

Heaven’s Perspective of LOVE — S3-DE7

Lady V’s Devotional Episode

John 3:16-17 (ERV) says:

Yes, God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him would not be lost but have eternal life. God sent his Son into the world. He did not send him to judge the world guilty, but to save the world through him.”

John 3:16-17 (ERV)

Devotional

The love God has for HIS creation goes far beyond our imagination. And, this love did not come without a cost. In John 3:16-17, we find that this love had a hefty price to be paid by Jesus Christ and came with a divine purpose—Salvation.

Photo of a hand reaching down and another hand reaching up. Pic represents God reaching down depicting heaven's perspective of love.

You see, Heaven’s Perspective of Love is that it’s a sacrificial giving of all that you are to benefit another.  In fact, this love carries a load that belongs to another. This love lifts every burden, every problem, and every dreaded thing upon itself.

I am convinced that my God will fully satisfy every need you have, for I have seen the abundant riches of glory revealed to me through the Anointed One, Jesus Christ!

Philippians 4:19 (TPT)

Devotional

Have you ever found yourself in a situation where there were no options? Then God stepped into the situation and worked it ALL out. Well, I’ve experienced this before and still experience it today–God’s hand [invisible, but not really] in my circumstances to help whenever I need it.

God Our Sustainer – S3-DE5

Lady V’s Devotional Episode

Psalm 143:7-9 (NLT), says:

“Come quickly, LORD, and answer me, for my depression deepens. Don’t turn away from me, or I will die.

Let me hear of your unfailing love each morning, for I am trusting you. Show me where to walk, for I give myself to you.

Rescue me from my enemies, LORD; I run to you to hide me.”

Psalm 143:7-9 (NLT)

Devotional

David was like many of us who have experienced a deep depression and begun to lose hope. You realize you need help when those constant drowning thoughts flood your mind of everything hopeless.

So, David expressed his need for God’s help for direction and protection. He wasn’t ashamed to admit he’d come to the end of his rope. It was at that moment David remembered he had an ever-present HELP in Almighty God. Besides, God had done it before, and surely He could do it again.

God is a sustainer!

Only Believe – S3-DE4

Lady V’s Devotional Episode

Hebrews 11:6 (NIV), says:

And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.”

Hebrews 11:6 (NIV)

Devotional

When I was younger my dad would have my older sister and me sit at the kitchen table to read Bible verses. I didn’t quite understand what I read in scripture, but I believed God was real. And I believed in Jesus.

As I grew older, I began to see things happen in my life that I couldn’t quite explain. Things I hoped for began to happen for me.

I didn’t quite grasp at that time that God knew the secret petitions of my heart, and most importantly—He knew me!

Nothing was kept from Him and everything was right in front of Him. He cared about whatever concerned me.

God Knows What We NEED —S3-DE3

Lady V’s Devotional Episode

Romans 8:26-28 (NLT) says:

And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words.”

“And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will.

And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.”

Romans 8:26-28 (NLT)

Devotional

Who among you likes for things to always go your way?

We all have at some point in our lives. I know I’ve had my seasons of asking God to do things—my way. Unfortunately, there’s a problem with—my way.  The problem lies with our limited knowledge of what’s ahead.

But, Father God, being All-knowing, has the foreknowledge of what’s best for our lives. God knows what we need.

And in, Romans chapter 8, verses 26-28, we find Apostle Paul teaching a valuable lesson. We don’t know what to pray, but the Holy Spirit does. We need to live with His leading—even in prayer.

The GOD of Salvation Hears You — S3-DE1

Lady V’s Devotional Episode

Isaiah Chapter 30, verses 19-21 states,

“O people of Zion, who live in Jerusalem, you will weep no more. He will be gracious if you ask for help. He will surely respond to the sound of your cries. Though the Lord gave you adversity for food and suffering for drink, He will still be with you to teach you. You will see your teacher with your own eyes. Your own ears will hear Him. Right behind you a voice will say, ‘This is the way you should go,’ whether to the right or to the left.
