Marvelously Made—S2-DE10

Lady V’s Weekly Devotional

You formed my innermost being, shaping my delicate inside and my intricate outside, and wove them all together in my mother’s womb.

I thank you, God, for making me so mysteriously complex! Everything you do is marvelously breathtaking.

It simply amazes me to think about it!

How thoroughly you know me, Lord!

You even formed every bone in my body when you created me in the secret place, carefully, skillfully shaping me from nothing to something.

You saw who you created me to be before I became me! Before I’d ever seen the light of day, the number of days you planned for me were already recorded in your book.

Psalm 139:13-16 The Passion Translation

Devotional

When we look in the mirror, sometimes we can be our biggest critic.  We see things we want to change about ourselves, and yet God sees HIS masterpiece.  We were MARVELOUSLY MADE!

As God sculpted us in secret, a mysterious work of art was unfolding. Every moment was crafted to be a step closer to the appointed time that HIS latest work of art was to be revealed.

The Integrity of Our Words – S2-DE9

Lady V’s Weekly Devotional

For the Scriptures say, “If you want to enjoy life and see many happy days, keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies….”

Can people trust what you say? Do you say words that connect you with having integrity?

Believe it or not; our words speak to our character. And, whenever we open our mouths it will say something about us.

The words that we speak can be a lot like a ‘social media’ post gone viral; it can spark a whirlwind of conversation. Thus, it is important that we communicate words with integrity.

Words Matter for Life – S2-DE8

Lady Vs Weekly Devotional

The words of the reckless pierce like swords, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.

Proverbs 12:18, NIV

Devotional

Have you ever noticed how someone’s words can either cut like a knife or be soothing to the soul? Words carry the power to affect lives for the good or for the bad.

Without a doubt, our tongue has the power to be used as a weapon, or as a fountain of life. The wrong words spoken can be detrimental, but the right words spoken can bring health and healing. That is why words matter for life!

So, how are you using the power that you’ve been given in YOUR tongue? We sometimes make the mistake of speaking words without giving thought to the magnitude of its force.

Jesus Lights the Way -S2-DE7

Lady V’s Weekly Devotional

By your words I can see where I’m going; they throw a beam of light on my dark path.

Psalm 119:105, MSG

Devotional

We all need direction in life. Our steps can lead us to uncertain destinations that could either add to our lives or take away our lives. And let’s face it; we need our paths to be lit so that our destinations are sure.

Living in a dark world, full of wrong paths to take, requires that we have the right ‘GPS’. In other words, trying to make it through life without Jesus is like unto being lost in a foreign land without a knowledgeable guide. Unfortunately, you won’t know where you’re headed.

You Are Not Forgotten -S2-DE6

Lady Vs Weekly Devotional

The LORD hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles. The LORD is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed. The righteous person faces many troubles, but the LORD comes to the rescue each time.

Psalm 34:17-19, NLT

Devotional

Beloved, if you’ve found yourself crying out to God and wondering, “When will the answer come?” You are not alone. Many of us go through rough seasons and want God to speak, show up, and fix it—ASAP.

I know; It may seem like God has forgotten about you and isn’t there; But, I’ve been sent to tell you that GOD IS THERE.

Waiting for God’s BEST – S2-DE5

Lady Vs Weekly Devotional

Now the LORD God said, “It is not good (beneficial) for the man to be alone; I will make him a helper [one who balances him—counterpart who is] suitable and complementary for him.”

Genesis 2:18, AMP

Devotional

Our time is precious and we want to spend it wisely. I’m sure we can all agree; NO ONE wants to waste time in the wrong relationship.

That’s why God’s original plan, from the beginning, started with giving Adam the wife that was just right for him. So, God created Eve—God’s BEST for Adam.

God had an original plan for Adam and Eve which would serve a purpose, to be a successful relationship. And, it is the same plan for all that desire to have God’s BEST—today.

GOD’S WAY – S2-DE4

Lady V’s Weekly Devotional

Later, Jesus appeared again to the disciples beside the Sea of Galilee. This is how it happened. Several of the disciples were there—Simon Peter, Thomas (nicknamed the Twin), Nathanael from Cana in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee, and two other disciples. Simon Peter said, “I’m going fishing.” We’ll come, too,” they all said. So they went out in the boat, but they caught nothing all night.

At dawn Jesus was standing on the beach, but the disciples couldn’t see who he was. He called out, “Fellows, have you caught any fish?” “No,” they replied. Then he said, “Throw out your net on the right-hand side of the boat, and you’ll get some!”

So, they did, and they couldn’t haul in the net because there were so many fish in it. Then the disciple Jesus loved said to Peter, “It’s the Lord!” When Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put on his tunic (for he had stripped for work), jumped into the water, and headed to shore.

The Refreshing – S2-DE3

Lady V’s Weekly Devotional

O God, you are my God: I earnestly search for you. My soul thirsts for you; my whole body longs for you in this parched and weary land where there is no water.

Psalm 63:1, NLT

Devotional

Much like David, we can find ourselves in a wilderness, lacking and searching for something to quench our thirst and refuel our fire for living. Sometimes, you may feel like you’re alone in this, struggling in life with its many tugs and pulls. And, you need some help to continue on your journey.

The exhaustion can take its hold on you and you can feel EMPTY. You are about to give out, feeling weak with every step. Without a doubt, you’re spiritually weary from all the worry, and you’re tired.

“In their hearts humans plan their course, but the LORD establishes their steps.”

Proverbs 16:9, NIV

Devotional

You ever met someone that changed your life and you couldn’t help but think– “This was meant to happen”? Well, this is what I’d call a divine appointment in God’s Perfect Timing. It’s not just something you can explain—But God.

Our steps can be guided by God’s hand. And, this was the case in the story of a Samaritan woman who came to a well on THE day that Jesus was there to meet a need she did not realize that she had.

Jesus Is In Your Boat – S2-DE1

Lady V’s Weekly Devotional

They all got into a boat and began to cross over to the other side of the lake. And Jesus, exhausted, fell asleep. Suddenly a violent storm developed, with waves so high the boat was about to be swamped. Yet Jesus continued to sleep soundly. The disciples woke him up, saying, “Save us, Lord! We’re going to die!”

But Jesus reprimanded them, “Why are you gripped with fear? Where is your faith?” Then he stood up and rebuked the storm and said, “Be still!” And instantly it became perfectly calm. The disciples were astonished by this miracle and said to one another, “Who is this Man? Even the wind and waves obey his Word.”

Matthew 8:23-27 TPT

Devotional

Boat on the sea with storm clouds above.

Are you having the recurring forecast of storms in your life? Are you facing some giant waves and wondering if you’re about to get wiped out? Life can change in an instant.

You’re riding easy one moment, and faced with a tsunami the next. You may start to wonder, “When will brighter days come and STAY?”
